About this Event
The Union College Department of Music presents The Early Music Ensemble Winter Concert. Featuring J.H. Schmelzer, Isabella Leonarda, Henry Purcell, and J.C. Bach, directed by André Laurent O'Neil.
The Early Music Ensemble features small intimate chamber groups of between five and seven players. Works featured span the Baroque and Viennese Eras, from about 1650 to 1776, and composers who worked in Vienna, Italy, and London, including the Ursuline nun Isabella Leonarda. Founded in 2011 by Prof. Dianne McMullen, the student groups are led this term by André Laurent O’Neil, adjunct instructor of music.
Suggested donation is $15 for general public, $10 for Union faculty, staff and alumni, and $5 for students, seniors, and children. Please note each donation is just one ticket, so if you would like multiple you will need to repeat the process.
All donations directly support The Early Music Ensemble's efforts. Although we appreciate the support all of our events are inclusive so please join us regardless of a financial contribution, tickets will be available at the door.
