Calling All House Heads and house music lovers! Assemble your duo and join us on March 30 for a celebration of our local house community!
Experience one of the Bay Area's premier street dance competitions where 2vs2 teams will go 'house 2 house' in a thrilling tournament to determine which duo will sign the title to the duplex and walk away with $500 cash!
House is a style of dance born from the underground clubs of Chicago and New York in the late 70’s and early 80’s. This style takes heavy influences from Tap, African dance, Latin dance and martial arts. House is about freedom, improvisation, and connecting to the music.
For more than 20+ years house culture has fostered deep roots in the Bay Area creating a bridge between the local club culture & street dance community. “The Duplex” is a gathering and celebration of past, present & future of the Bay Area house scene featuring a week full of workshops, battles and cyphers open to all ages/skill levels.
