The DTLA Oyster Festival returns to Grand Central Market on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16!
Entry is free and open to all ages.
Farmers from Alaska, Washington, Baja California, and British Columbia will be shucking oysters from 11am to 6pm. A selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass will be curated by Oyster Gourmet owner and Festival co-host Christophe Happillon.
The Festival is supported by our friends at Skyduster Beer and Zabs. The oyster shells will be rescued and donated to Orange County Coastkeeper.
About Orange County Coastkeeper
Orange County Coastkeeper is a community-rooted, science-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting swimmable, drinkable, fishable, and sustainable water for all. Through its Living Shorelines program, Coastkeeper restores native oysters and eelgrass to create natural coastal defenses that improve water quality, stabilize eroding shores, and strengthen marine ecosystems. In partnership with local restaurants, Coastkeeper collects and reuses discarded oyster shells to rebuild native oyster populations. This helps to reduce food waste, lower program costs, and engage the community in hands-on marine restoration.
