About the Book:
"Fantasy, espionage, and action make for pure fun on the page as a pack of supernatural teens come into their powers in THE DRAGON SPY." - Alma Katsu, author of Red Widow and The Hunger
The Cold War
To gain an advantage over the Soviets, the CIA uses genetic testing to identify children who are more than human and place them in the Greenhouse, a covert school to turn them into weapons in the war against the Soviets. Lynna Harrison, who is half-human and half-sea dragon, is among the first of these children.
1983
Lynna and her teammates are using their powers to aid in the Agency's black ops, an advantage the Soviets have yet to discover. That's until Lynna goes on a mission in East Berlin and learns someone in the unit is planning to trade their secrets.
The Soviets aren't the only ones hunting for the Greenhouse, though. An unknown party with their own super-powered soldiers has entered the race, and they're determined to capture one of Lynna's closest friends in the unit and turn her into a weapon for their own ends.
Lynna finds a possible ally with answers in the ranks of these super-powered soldiers, but the more Lynna learns, the less she knows who she can trust. Her own government has plans for the Greenhouse that threatens all of them. There's also more than one traitor in her unit, and one of them is among her most trusted friends.
About the Author:
Bill Blume's love for the written word started back in high school with an addiction to comic books that was later hijacked by novels such as Frankenstein and Dragonflight. The first book in his young adult, vampire hunter series, Gidion's Hunt, was published back in 2013. His adult fantasy debut, West of Apocalypse, was nominated for an Indieverse Award. Just like the father figure in his "Gidion Keep" novels, Bill has worked as a 911 dispatcher for more than two decades. He also spent ten years working as a board member for James River Writers.
Bishop O'Connell is author of the American Faerie Tale series and the award-winning novel, Two-Gun Witch, as well as a consultant, writer, blogger, lover of kilts and beer, as well as a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America. Born in Naples Italy while his father was in the Navy, Bishop grew up in San Diego, where he fell in love with the ocean and fish tacos. After wandering the country for work and school (absolutely not evading mind controlling bunnies), he settled in Richmond VA, where he writes, collects swords, revels in his immortality as a "visionary" of the urban fantasy genre, and is regularly chastised for making up things for his bio. He can also be found online at A Quiet Pint (aquietpint.com), where he muses philosophical on life, the universe, and everything, as well as various aspects of writing and the road to getting published.
