National touring singer-songwriter Grant Peeples has been compared to John Prine, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Woody Guthrie. He's been called a 'guitar-slinging poet.' He calls himself a 'Left-neck', a tree-hugger with a gun below the seat. He'll be joined onstage by Boone NC native Meade 'Fiddleman' Richter.
Grant is the recipient of the Focus Foundation Award for Creative Excellence, which cited the “humor, compassion and wisdom of his songs,” and their "unflinching social insight and cultural acuity.” Grant tours coast to coast, and is a repeat performer at Moccasin Creek Music Festival, Antlers & Acorns Songwriters Festival, The Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, the 30A Songwriters Festival, and The Florida Folk Festival, Word of South Festival of Literature & Music, among others. In June 2023 he made his debut at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival.
