The Dormition & Assumption of the Mother of God

At the end of her earthly life, the Most Holy Mother of God was taken - body and soul - into heaven by the Lord. Thus she is the first to undergo the general resurrection that awaits each of us, and in her we have the worked example, the fulfilment, of the promise of Christ to each of us who seek to live in Him.
Therefore, we give thanks to God on this day for the witness and example of his holy Mother, and we honour her and give her the glory that us due to her through the work of God in her.
Vespers & Divine Liturgy (Mass) at 7.30pm.
Services will be followed by light bring-and-share refreshments.
