About the Evening:
Invitation to an evening sitting around a Sacred Fire with opportunity to create a relationship with a power of nature that you can call on to help you skillfully meet the challenges of your life. Indigenous cultures know the spirit of the fire is alive, conscious and always communicating, for they, our ancestors, have been doing respectful listening for hundreds of thousands of years. We gather around the Sacred Fire to sit for several hours opening to its wisdom teachings. This is an exploration of creating attunement to the intelligence of what is being transmitted and our ability to hear what that might be for us moderns, in this time of living on Mother Earth.
Grandfather Fire Spirit, Tatewarí, is the first shaman say the Huichol People of Mexico. What is it communicating? Come and find out for yourself. Dr. Tom Pinkson, transpersonal psychologist, author, ceremonial leader, grandfather, who went through an eleven year apprenticeship with Huichol shamans, will help us open the doorway to deeper listening.
Bring a few pieces of wood to feed the fire and your soulful self to share truth of what is.

Dr. Tom Pinkson, a Ph.D. transpersonal psychologist, mentor, author, retreat and ceremonial leader, fifty years of vision questing, sixty years of psychedelic work learning wisdom teachings from indigenous elders around the world, helped start the first at-home hospice in the United States, eleven year apprenticeship with Huichol shamans in Mexico, all leading to his life as a bridge-builder medicine man of the spirit.
