About this Event
Proud, Present + Future is about recognizing both the progress that’s been achieved and action still in motion. It means ensuring the safety of everyone in the LGBTQ2IA+ community, and it also means sharing power and hope in the feeling of Pride.
This year at lululemon Newbury (208 Newbury Street, 2nd Floor) we're hosting an open mic conversation and inviting members and allies of the LGBTQ2IA+ community to share their self-selected stories around one of two themes: When I Knew AND Chosen Family.
We ask that all stories be kept to 5 min or less so that we make space for as many people to share over the course of the evening that would like to.
Join us for a night of connection around vulnerable, real stories from our local community. If you already know that you are interested in sharing a story, please fill out the questionaire upon purchasing a ticket. If you aren't sure, but you decide you'd like to share night-of, we will be opening the floor up to anyone who would like to share in-the-moment. We will be limiting the conversation component of the evening to 90 minutes and will try our best to give space for everyone that would like to share during that time.
Drinks and refreshments are included in ticket price. This event is 21+, ID will be required upon entry.
All proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project.
