Eubanks Solutions in partnership with MadisonGospel5K presents The Determination to Succeed Community Mentoring Awards Banquet. Mentoring and mentorship are integral parts of the community and the village it creates. Growing up here on the south side in the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s, the Madison area that we grew up in had that and had it in abundance. It was not just the south side either that had that strong sense of community with the understanding that it takes a village mindset. That mindset was spread around the city from Darbo to Kennedy Heights, Simpson Street to summerset, Allied to vera court, and everywhere in between. In each of those communities there were people that looked out and took care of others, not out of obligation but out of love for their neighbor. It’s because of where I am in life and the different level of understanding that I feel I have to do this and recognize those people of the past, present, and future promising mentors. It has been heavy on my heart to create different kinds of mentoring awards that means something to me, but I took my time and here they are Community auntie, community uncle, Community coach, cross generational mentor, and entrepreneur mentor.
