Who is Tamara Campbell anyway?This show is funny and raw. It is a moving look at what happens in the mind of a human struggling with their sense of self and self confidence while traveling the world as a performer.
Do you relate to spending a life referring to yourself in the third person and dressing up as someone else in order to be seen? No! Just me then.
It is about growing up and growing into who I really am in a time when everything is turning upside down again - being a 50+ year old woman.
Is it serious or funny you ask?
It is both, but mostly funny because upon reflection and many hours of writing… I uncovered, remembered and created a treasure trove of ridiculous and bizarre situations. Most deriving from being someone else for so much of my life!
What a source of Freedom, almost addictive in the happiness and release it created, yet - not real - or is it?
But what happens when the real me wants to step forward? The character needs “a good talking too” and who better to do that than Tamara herself.
This performance is a showing of new work and will include a brief Q&A after the show.
