About this Event
A talk about the resilience of the people of Warsaw during one of the most significant events of World War II, the heroic efforts to defend the city against the German forces during the 21-day siege.
Dr Paul Latawski, is a Senior Lecturer in the War Studies Department, Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. His area of interest covers Central and Eastern Europe. Current research interests include the Polish Armed Forces in the West during WWII, Polish resistance to occupation 1939-45, urban operations.
He is writing a history of 1st Polish Armoured Division’s operations in Normandy. Dr Latawski has been a long-standing lecturer and supporter of both Polish Heritage Society UK and the Institute of Polish Military History UK programmes.
