Our recent event commemorating the 85th anniversary of the official evacuation of children to Gloucestershire and Herefordshire is being followed up by a talk at the museum, telling the story of 2nd June 1940, the day 1,200 children and 77 of their teachers were evacuated by train from the borough of Harwich.
Tickets now available for this highly emotional talk which includes personal stories from several ex evacuees
