Meet your tour guide inside the Grayston Unity - she won't bite! Then follow along with your fellow audience members and walk in the filthy footsteps of Horrible Haligonians through the ancient Parish of Halifax, West Yorkshire.
You’ll be introduced to a collection of characters from the back streets and ancient hostelries, hear about the darker side of our market town, the grim goings on, treacherous tykes and reactive riots of this medieval town.
Halifax Heritage Tours CIC and Haunted Halifax CIC take you on an immersive walking tour of our town, sharing snippets in snickets and stories of places, buildings and the characters from the past who lived in and visited during the Medieval, Georgian and Victorian eras through to more modern times in our post industrial town.
Meet crafty Coiners, hear about profiteering parishioners and finding out more about those infamous deaths by Guillotine, served from the archaic Moot Hall.
Halifax Heritage Tours CIC has been set up and is run by volunteers who are passionate about the heritage of 'Magic Halifax'. Keenly supported by another young, keen and experienced organisation, Haunted Halifax CIC, a group of practiced actors from Calderdale and beyond.
Monies generated by ticket sales and donations are shared by Haunted Halifax & Halifax Heritage and used to enhance community and education projects that promote and preserve the heritage of Halifax.
Please note any children booked on the tour must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket for the event and remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian at all times. *There are some jump scare moments, please be aware.*
