**********PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THIS ENTIRE POST FOR IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE EVENT!!!**********Please join us at the Birdsboro Fire Company for the 15th annual Daniel Boone 1970’s Reunion. The event will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 2025 beginning at 4:30 PM.
This year the class of 1975 will be celebrating their 50th reunion and the class of 1970 will be celebrating their 55th reunion. We would love to see a great turnout from BOTH of those classes.
PLEASE NOTE: ANYONE WHO ATTENDED AND WOULD HAVE GRADUATED BY 1979 IS INVITED TO ATTEND.
This year the cost per person is $53.00. Checks should be made payable to “The Daniel Boone 1970’s Reunion” and mailed to DBHS 1970’s Reunion, c/o Cindy Lafferty Kennedy, 521 W Neversink Rd, Reading, PA 19606.
*****All checks MUST be received by November 1st. If you are married and attended/graduated from Daniel Boone, PLEASE include your maiden name. EVERYONE PLEASE PLEASE include your graduation year(s) from Boone and be sure to sign your check. Money orders are also accepted. PLEASE BE AWARE WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY PAYMENTS THE NIGHT OF THE EVENT*****
The theme for this year is Western/Country/Cowboy/Cowgirl. As always, participation is NOT mandatory.
Once again, the catering will be done by Friendship Fire Company in-house catering with Russell Shaner and staff.
Using the Western theme as inspiration, the menu is as follows: Pulled pork with slider rolls if desired
Coleslaw
Corn bread with honey butter available
Baked cowboy beans with bacon Salad with dressings available White cheddar mac & cheese with stewed tomatoes available
Fried chicken
Baked potato
Soda, coffee and tea included. Full cash bar available with 16 oz draft beer (light or lager) for $3.00.
The issue with the buffet being held on the dance floor has been addressed. It will be moving back in front of the kitchen.
Since dancing was delayed due to the class photos being taken the time frame for the event has been changed. Please be sure to make note of these important changes.
The doors will open PROMPTLY at 4:30. Please DO NOT ARRIVE PRIOR TO THIS TIME.
Meet & Mingle: 5:00 – 5:30. No music during this time.
Welcome announcements: 5:30. The bar will be “closed” at this time. Everyone will be asked to take their seat.
Buffet will begin at 5:45. Dinner music will be played.
Class photos will begin at 6:30. This will give us ONE HOUR before the music and dancing begin.
Dancing: 7:30-10:30
We will be selling 50/50 tickets again this year. Thank you for your participation with the 50/50 raffle. It does help to keep the costs of this night manageable.
Extra/overflow parking is available on the far side of Birdsboro Beverage.
