The crossing is a three-day journey-laboratory that integrates hiking, meditation, outdoor coexistence and somatic experimentation in synergy with the natural environment. An interdisciplinary and conscious experience ravine; the most remote and unspoilt ravine and beach of Gran Canaria; accessible only on foot or by boat.
The path to the beach will take us about 4 hours, covering about 8,5km and with a difference in altitude of 877 metres. As we walk, we will observe how the limits imposed between the self and others, mind, body and space will begin to dissipate; once this deep presence is achieved, we will offer exercises that are inspired by the environment and help us to delve into the existential space we occupy in nature.
After settling on the beach, we will offer somatic practices that draw on the richness and possibilities of the aquatic and terrestrial environment. With movement as a base, we will experiment with vital energy , touch, matter, image and sound to allow the emergence of free manifestations in the participantThis laboratory is open to people who want to experience the art of walking, coexistence and interaction with nature as creative and healing processes.��
Technical requirements: Tested sports shoes for walking in the bush, light clothing, sun cream, swimming or diving goggles, some warm clothes, sleeping bag, mat and head torch, towel, notebook. We advise you to travel light, with a medium-sized backpack of about 50 litres in volume. We will sleep in the open air; temperatures range between 30 and 20 degrees Celsius.
�Each participant will bring their own food and water. We will share tips on what and how much to bring.
�Retreat facilitated by Lesley Bohncke & Hobe Lasai, multidisciplinary artists working with choreographic experimentation, therapy, wool and textiles. �
