BYRON LARS
Byron Lars started designing under his own label in 1991 with a small collection of “twisted American classics” as he calls them, some quite literally twisted, i.e. ultra-feminine riffs on the classic men’s button-down shirt. Best known in some circles for designing the first ever full collection of black Barbie Dolls, Byron created a glamorous doll for each of the 16 years of his collaboration with Mattel, having garnered the devotion of thousands of Barbie enthusiasts the world over, including famed fashion designer Jason Wu.

An award-winning journalist, Constance C.R. White is renowned for her wealth of experience and significant contributions across print, broadcast and online. A veteran writer, editor and arbiter of culture and style, Constance has helped steer brand and editorial direction for some of the most exciting companies and works with FIT's Social Justice Center.
