Back by popular demand & to coincide with the photo exhibition in the library foyer Exmoor Farms – A Year on the Moor.
Author Jade Angeles Fitton will be giving a talk about her time living without a car in an isolated barn on Exmoor, in an experience that inspired her nature memoir, Hermit: A memoir of finding freedom in a wild place. Jade’s talk will also focus on how we can transform solitude into a positive experience, and everything we have to gain from being alone and living slowly.
This will be followed by a creative writing workshop led by Jade, which will focus on life and nature writing: where to begin in telling the stories of our lives, and ways in which we can write about the natural world. Exploring how our stories can bring awareness to the natural world, and how the natural world can give power to our stories.
