In 2015, the town of Kworabup Denmark authored The Creation of Now, a multi-layered contemporary performance that creates a new world of imagination and mythology. Ten years on, Southern Edge Arts will create a new version that speaks to our sense of ‘now’ in the Great Southern.

Artistic Director, Annette Carmichael leads a team of artists, young people and community members to recreate the world of Omo, an ancient child who seeks to find Now. A large intergenerational cast aged from 3 months - 70+ will wrap around this child on their final quest.
The Creation of Now (2025) is presented by Southern Edge Arts. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, It’s principal arts investment and advisory body, made possible by Regional Arts Australia and Regional Arts WA and supported by the Western Australian State Government.
