"The Maestro's Return - A Remarkable Performance and Experience
We are thrilled to announce the return of the legendary Arthur Brown, known as the God of Hellfire, to The Earl Haig Club for the second time. Arthur Brown is best known for his 1968 hit "Fire" and his work with the Hammond-driven "Crazy World" line-up. In 1970, he embarked on a new project called Kingdom Come, followed by a successful solo career. The initial four band albums, by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Kingdom Come, are now considered classics in the psych rock genre.
Arthur Brown is renowned for his flamboyant theatrical performances and his powerful, versatile operatic voice. He has been a significant influence on a wide range of musicians due to his exceptional vocal ability and unique stage persona and concepts. Often regarded as a pioneer of shock rock and progressive rock, he has also been influential in the heavy metal music genre.
Throughout his career, Arthur Brown has collaborated with notable artists such as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Frank Zappa, Hawkwind, Klaus Schultze, and Alice Cooper. His collaborations also include The Alan Parsons Project, The Stranglers, and The Prodigy. His best-known single "Fire" reached number 1 on the UK singles chart and in Canada, and reached number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100. His album "The Crazy World of Arthur Brown" achieved top ten success on both sides of the Atlantic.
Arthur Brown continues to create and release inspiring music, including his most recent release "Long, Long Road" (2022) and the launch of his new multimedia show "A Human Perspective".
Audiences can expect a full evening of psychedelic individuality, ingenuity, and madness, featuring great musicians, iconic dance, stunning visuals, and a sonic adventure. Attendees are encouraged to dress in a manner that reflects their own elaborate, creative, flamboyant, or low-key style."..
