Trail of Lights Cowichan is a self-guided family-friendly holiday event in the Cowichan Valley celebrating small businesses seasonal beauty and community connection.


This two-night experience invites you to explore a thoughtfully curated stretch of the Valley where farms wineries studios and nurseries light up their spaces and open their doors to share in the holiday spirit.


Each stop offers something different: handmade gifts fresh wreaths mulled wine cheese tastings warm drinks local treats and more. Visitors are encouraged to take their time travel the route at their own pace and discover the charm and care behind each participating business.


From holiday markets and art to farm tours and cozy snacks Trail of Lights offers a slower more meaningful way to ease into the season. Perfect for couples families and anyone who loves supporting local.


Participating Stops for 2025:

  1. Blue Grouse Winery - Live music tastings and a craft station. Tastings by donation benefit the SPCA.
  2. Dinter Nursery - Holiday greens wreaths and a Saturday Makers Market. (Note: closes at 5pm)
  3. Cowichan Station Creamery - Farm store with cheese tastings open until 5pm. Vending machine open until 7pm.
  4. Ron's Place Farmstand - Cookies and jams.
  5. Miller + Co Furniture and Pottery - Handmade pottery wood bowls and gifts.
  6. Cowichan Milk Company - Walk through the barn and enjoy hot chocolate. (Note: No washrooms. No pets.)
  7. Keating Farm - Farm sales tours refreshments and festive cheer in a heritage setting.
  8. Cairnpark Nursery - Evergreen wreaths paper quilling glass art and preserves.
  9. Zanatta Winery - Wine tastings and mulled wine. Art also available for purchase.


Know Before You Go:

  • Free to attend. No tickets required.
  • Self-guided and flexible you get to choose which stops to visit and in what order.
  • Bring a designated driver if you plan to consume alcohol.
  • Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited at most stops.
  • Please check posted hours as some stops may close early.
