Coven Kaupapa
For queer women and gender minorities, spaces like this are rare, vital, and sometimes, life-changing. In a world that constantly centers cishet norms, Coven offers a space where we are the default – where you can fully show up as yourself, be seen, celebrated and surrounded by YOUR community.
For many in our Coven, this is one of the only opportunities we feel comfortable enough to experience nightlife free from the male gaze, tokenism, fear, or the need to shrink ourselves to fit in. It’s a space where sapphic, trans, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people aren’t just welcomed – we are centered. It’s for those who are often pushed to the margins, who rarely feel represented in “inclusive” spaces that still cater to the mainstream.
This night exists because we need it – and because we create it, together.
Accessibility
The event is held upstairs at Whisky & Wood, a stunning venue with gender-neutral bathrooms and lift access (note there is a small bump as you enter). Staff will be ready to help if needed. Have specific accessibility needs? Reach out directly at [email protected].
Community Tickets
We want Coven to be for everyone. At checkout, consider donating toward our community ticket fund. Can’t afford a ticket? Email [email protected] with the subject “Free for Me” and your preferred name. We’ll be gifting free tickets on Friday 18 October.
If you made it this far... Good girl / Good they / Good boy / Good YOU!
Get ready for a night of queer joy, sexy surprises, and community magic.
