Join us for The Cove beach cleanup on Earth Day!
When: April 21st at 11am
Where: The Cove - Scarborough Bluffers Park, West side beach
Schedule for the event:
- Land acknowledgment by Geoff Ortiz
- Yoga session by Lisa Laroe Goveia, a certified master instructor. She will lead a 30-minute yoga flow to kick off the Cove beach cleanup. Please bring a mat or towel if you'd like, or you can simply lay on the ground.
- Cleanup of The Cove, Mini Mavs, and surrounding green areas
- Bring your old wetsuits to Rip & Tear for recycling (recycling station will be available at the cleanup)
- Enjoy snacks and appreciation for all your hard work
- Raffle with goodies from our sponsors
- Presentation of the Great Lakes Steward Award with 4 nominees
Additionally, we will have a BBQ with Dave Hon. We'll be serving delicious sausages to add to the barbecue. Feel free to bring any food or snacks that you would like to share!
