Tamila Umarkhanova viola and violin player from Kazakhstan based in Chicago, IL.
Tamila Umarkhanova was born in 1992 in Kazakhstan and started her musical education in Moscow, at the Moscow Music School named after Shostakovitch. Later, when she moved back to Kazakhstan with her family, Tamila entered the Tchaikowsky Almaty Music College and successfully graduated with honor and graduated from Kazakh National Conservatory.
During her artistic career, Tamila has performed on such concert stages as the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Mariinsky Theatre in Saint-Petersburg/Russia, Great Hall of Kazakh National Philarmony in Almaty/Kazakhstan, Great Hall of Kazakh National Conservatory, RNCM (UK), Basel (Switzerland), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Chicago (USA), Atlanta (USA)
Classically trained she started her own musical path after moving to the US in 2018. She is a fully booked musician at weddings and events, where she plays a lot of cover music to popular songs and she put her own improvisations on it.
At Colvin House, she will play an improvisation of a viola melody to the tracks of Ludovico Einaudi, Yanni, Yurima, and songs by Tamila viola.

Colvin House cannot provide parking on site for this event. The first 20 cars can park free at George B. Swift Elementary school, just a block west of Colvin House. Please pull up to Colvin House's driveway gate (Thorndale Ave) first to receive a parking permit which will provide further instruction.
For $12-$14, valet parking is also available at the Malibu Condominiums (6007 N Sheridan) public garage, just across the street, north of Colvin House. This parking can be validated by Colvin House for $2.00 off.
We recommend arriving early if you need to park.

While RSVP is free, there is a suggested donation in place of a ticket price at the door so that Colvin House can pay our talented, local artists and continue supporting the performing arts. We ask that you contribute $20, $10, or even $5 toward paying the musicians and staff for their efforts in producing these community concerts at the Colvin House.
Colvin House cannot make change so please bring the exact amount you plan on donating. We also accept Zelle & PayPal. Thank you!
