The Counterfeit Beatles are a professional and highly entertaining Beatles tribute act, it is their performance that makes them such a huge success.
Highly authentic in both appearance - instruments, hair and clothes - as well as performance - The instrumental backing and vocals are exact copies of the original recordings. all delivered with infectious energy and enthusiasm, suspend your disbelief. Perhaps this is what the real thing was like - but now with a much better sound system: the balance and mix are spot on from start to finish .
As well as all the well-known hits, the band play 'oh yes, I remember that' album tracks and more complex songs from the Sergeant Pepper era and beyond. One song moves effortlessly into the next - very slick and keeps the performance moving seamlessly. Just four guys - no backing musicians or orchestras, because the Beatles never used these on stage - managed to create an authentic, enjoyable and high quality 'Beatles experience' as close as any of us will ever get to the 'real thing'.
A highlight for the band was Headlining the main stage at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival – with Coldplay, Elvis Costello, Steve Winwood, Primal Scream, Bjork- to an international crowd of 80,000.
Also starred in the stage production Beatlemania at the Theatre Vergina Thessaloniki, Mainland Greece, for Walt Disney's award winning directors Derrick Lasalla and Stavros Sideras – with full national television and radio coverage.
