Humanity has searched long and hard for an alien signal to show us we are not alone in the universe. In 1964 a horn-shaped antenna, that stands on Crawford Hill in Holmdel, accidentally stumbled on a cosmic signal, not from an alien world but from the source from which the universe emerged 14 billion years ago. Does it have a message for us beyond the amazing science it has revealed? This talk will screen a 10-minute video of the 60th anniversary celebration of this discovery and explore what the cosmic signal may be telling us about our role in the universe.
