About this Event
September 17th marked one year since the passing of legendary Assyrian singer Evin Agassi (1945–2024), whose voice and artistry left an everlasting mark on our nation.
Though he is no longer with us, his music continues to resonate across generations and borders — uniting Assyrians around the world, keeping our culture alive, and reminding us of the power of song to carry both joy and struggle. Even our youth today know his voice and still find meaning in his words.
AAASC, in collaboration with Brynner Agassi, will be screening the documentary "The Concert That Could Have Been" which is about the lead-up to the Mesopotamian Night Concert that was to take place on July 27, 2024 and the preparations the late Evin Agassi and his team were making to create an unforgettable, unprecedented performance.
Join us at the Association on October 24th!
Doors open at 7PM and screening starts at 7:30PM. Following directly after the screening will be a Q&A with Brynner Agassi.
Admission is free and we hope to see you there!
