We're calling all couch potatoes everywhere for the return of the Compass Center 0.5K: "South Dakota's Laziest Race" on Saturday, July 10th. Enjoy camaraderie with fellow non-runners, enjoy the Sioux Falls bike trail and have a beer (or root beer) on us. Costumes at the race are encouraged; and you could WIN BIG in our costume contest. By BIG we mean we'll find something cool for you to enjoy. Details:
Remedy Brewing (8th and Railroad) is hosting both the start and finish line. We'll meet on the east side of Remedy in the patio/dock area. The walk will head toward the bike trail and around a convenient loop located right off the river. Concerned you will need to rest? Don't worry - we have you covered! Multiple rest area stations will be accessible anywhere along the course to provide some fun activities and a chance for a break from the challenges of a 1/3 mile walk!
The Cause:
The Compass Center works with survivors of sexual and domestic violence, providing counseling and advocacy services at no cost for as long as service is needed. More than 700 men, women, and children receive services every year thanks to generous donors. This "race" is YOUR chance to support survivors in our community! You can also click the 'Donate' button above and start your own fundraiser for the agency.
The Swag:
We are stocking up on goodies for you so you can proudly show off your racing prowess all year long. As part of registration, you'll receive:
