The Grand Masters of ComedyPeter Berner is without a doubt one of Australia's most respected comics and broadcasters, having
performed his unique brand of comedy across Australia for nearly three decades and hosted iconic
television and radio programs.His intelligent humour has always set him apart as a performer who cancomfortably straddle comedy styles as disparate as satire, observational comedy and reactive comedy with ease.
Peter's major TV hosting roles have been ABC TV’s Backberner, The Einstein Factor, The Loaded Brush, The Comedy Channel’s You Have Been Watching, Sky News Live’s The B Team with Peter Berner and the Australian Film Institute Awards. All up he has presented more than 500 hours of national television program content in varying genres including comedy, news and documentary in live and taped environments.
On FM radio, Peter was co-host of Triple M's breakfast show, The Cage, which was networked live each day along the east coast, and has also hosted his own solo radio show, The Peter Berner Experiment.
On AM radio he hosted weekend afternoons on 2UE.
A talented artist and cartoonist, Peter is a graduate of the National Art School who has exhibited his
work in galleries across the world. In 2018 Peter was nominated as a finalist for the prestigious
Archibald Prize for his self portrait, titled Self Portrait with Hindsight. On being nominated as a finalist, Peter said, "When I received the email telling me I had been selected I confess I was stunned. Thrilled. It took a moment to sink in. And then I wondered if the Nigerians had gotten into scamming painters as anew business model. It is one of the greatest things to have happened to me.”
Peter released his first book in 2015 titled The Book of He, which was a collection of original humourous illustrations about modern life from the perspective of a very ordinary man. This was soon followed by the release of a sequel, The Book of They, in September 2017. The Book of They is an 80-page look at relationships and coupledom, complete with Berner’s brand of observational comedy.
Steve Philp Finalist for Time Out comedian the year. Actor, comedian and radio host Steve Philp has been touring the world with the best in the biz for over 20 years.
Steve’s big break came in 2008 when he was selected as one of 14 Australian comedians to travel to Miami and compete in NBC’s top rating show “Last comic Standing” in which he made the Quarter finals and got to perform to a sold out Miami improv and an American TV audience of well over 20 million.
Getting a start with Merrick and Rosso on Nova 969 Steve then went on to tour the country with the likes of The Umbilical Brothers, Arj Barker and just last year supported Carl Barron at the Newcastle Ent Cent in front of 7000 people. Steve revved up the crowd at the NRL Footy Show for 15 years and appeared on The Best of The Footy Show comedians DVD. Steve also appeared on Kinne Tv on Ch 7 where his hidden camera sketch “Can you get in anywhere with a Ladder” has now had over 40 million views.
More recently Steve appeared on The Matty Johns show as an annoying Uber driver picking up unsuspecting NRL players and driving them crazy. Steve is a regular on SEN radio and went viral last year for placing a plaque in the same Newcastle cubicle that Kalyn Ponga and Kurt Mann visited.
Steve is quickly is one of most in demand comedians in Australia with his all round appeal and style.

Fady Kassab – Currently on ABC TV’s ‘So Sorry for Your Loss’. Lebanese-born, Sydney-based Fady Kassab is the 2019 winner of Australia’s most prestigious comedy competition, triple j’s RAW Comedy. His show-stopping performance, televised on SBS TV, saw him subsequently flown to that year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe where he was selected to feature in the Best of Edinburgh Showcase Show.
Whilst in Edinburgh Fady made the grand finals of the Gilded Balloon’s long-running "So you Think You’re Funny?" comedy competition, putting Fady in the company of previous finalists including Dylan Moran, Lee Mack, Graham Norton, Hannah Gadsby.
A childhood spent with 17 years of the Lebanese war as the backdrop, and his migration to Australia give Fady a unique perspective to draw from, and he credits the traumas of war with fuelling his optimistic approach to life.

Riv Narak Aussie stand-up Riv Narak has been on a tear. Riv's been a club comedian for over 5 years, performing in Sydney, Tokyo and even Campbelltown. His comedy has been described as raw, which is another way of saying he is incoherent, but to his credit - english is his second language. Riv was once tipped $50 by an audience member for "following his dreams".
His debut at the Sydney Fringe in 2023 was a sold out run (Class Browns), where he was featured on the Sydney Fringe ‘Fresh Cuts’ showcase. His 2024 shbow “Currymunch” Unpacks what currymuncher means and jokes about stereotypes, relationships and the great voyage of assimilation. (BYO curry)
