The Colorifics, an all original mainstay of the Vancouver live music scene for almost 25 years have had a lively career of touring their unique and eminently danceable music down the west coast, across Canada and beyond.
Drawing inspiration from the entire history of recorded music, the Colorifics combine uptempo swing, sultry bossa nova, afro-cuban rhythms, cabaret noir and pop music of every era in their unique original songs that rival jazz standards of the past and pop hits of today. The resulting music is melodically strong with clever and often satirical Porter-esque lyrics, rich with emotion and drama and encompassing a huge variety of danceable rhythms
Executed with poise, class, professionalism, and a lot of sass, the music of the Colorifics is a welcome refreshment for the musical soul.
