International touring duo, The Co-Conspirators, perform folk/singer-songwriter music with elements of bluegrass, country, blues, gospel, and general roots music. With heavy emphasis on vocal harmonies, this duo sings songs of social justice, workers’ rights, anti-war, and of course, songs of love. They have been compared to The Weavers, Ian and Sylvia Tyson, and Richard and Linda Thompson. Canadian folk music legend Valdy said they sounds like they have been singing together their whole lives. You’re in for a treat!Singer-songwriter Skye Alexander is grounded in the traditional music of the British Isles and North America. Her expressive voice evokes the ballad singers of a bygone era, while her poetic lyrics and Americana-inspired melodies capture modern stories about loss, abuse, and heartbreak. She has performed at the Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Faire, the Bay Celtic Festival, the 39 Days of July, and other festivals, and enjoys playing at cafes and intimate venues. She lives with her wife on Lekwungen land, also known as Victoria, BC.
