DVIP & RVAP invites those affected by violence to create a shirt for The Clothesline Project. The Clothesline Project is a visual display of violence statistics that often go ignored. Each shirt is made by a survivor of violence or by someone who has lost a loved one to violence. The color of each shirt represents a different type of violence:
๐ค White shirts - represent individuals who have been murdered as a result of domestic or sexual violence
โค๏ธ Red or pink shirts - represent individuals who have experienced sexual violence
๐งก Orange shirts - represent individuals with disabilities who have experienced sexual or domestic violence
๐ Yellow or beige/brown shirts - represent individuals who have experienced domestic violence
๐ Blue or green shirts - represent victim-survivors of childhood sexual violence
๐ Purple or lavender shirts - represent LGBTQ+ individuals who have experienced sexual or domestic violence
๐ค Black shirts - represents individuals in the immediate (often campus) community who have experienced sexual or domestic violence
