DVIP & RVAP invites you to The Clothesline Project, a visual display of violence statistics that are often ignored. Each shirt is made by a survivor of violence or by someone who has lost a loved one to violence.
The color of each shirt represents a different type of violence:
🤍 White shirts - represent individuals who have been murdered as a result of domestic or sexual violence
❤️ Red or pink shirts - represent individuals who have experienced sexual violence
🧡 Orange shirts - represent individuals with disabilities who have experienced sexual or domestic violence
💛 Yellow or beige/brown shirts - represent individuals who have experienced domestic violence
💙 Blue or green shirts - represent victim-survivors of childhood sexual violence
💜 Purple or lavender shirts - represent LGBTQ+ individuals who have experienced sexual or domestic violence
🖤 Black shirts - represents individuals in the immediate (often campus) community who have experienced sexual or domestic violence
