The Bingham-Waggoner’s annual motor coach trip will be Wednesday, June 4, 2025. We will collect in the Bingham parking lot at 8:30 am and roll away at 9:00 sharp. We will travel to LeCompton, KS for an interactive Civil War era reenactment of a town meeting. We will experience historic characters like John Brown, Jim Lane, Sherriff Jones, Charles and Sara Robinson, Clarinda Nichols, John Stringfellow, Mahala Doyle, Felix Caster, and Colonel Henry Titus. You can Google these people ahead of time if you would like more background information. Then there will be time to visit several museums on the property. Next, we will be served a homemade fried chicken dinner by the Ladies Organization of the Methodist Church. After that, you will have time to do a little shopping in LeCompton’s small downtown area. We will board the bus for a short trip to the Empty Nest Winery for a wine tasting. After that, we board the motor coach for the return trip to the Bingham. On the way we will serve either a chicken salad or veggie wrap, chips and bottled water. We should arrive back at the Bingham about 5 pm. This year the cost per person is $150.00. Tickets will go on sale on our website in January 2025, and you can make your wrap choice online as well. If you have questions, please call Madeline at 816-509-2685.
