This Conference will focus on the military, political and social history involved in a critical period of the State of Missouri: that time of September and October of the year 1864. Much of the American Civil War's body of knowledge is focused upon the battlefields East of the Mississippi River. Much more information is available to an understanding of the War's efforts by a showing of the events occurring in the State of Missouri. The goal of this Symposium will be to illuminate such contribution of Missouri to our nation's history by a study of the events during September and October of the year 1864 when the possibility existed for Confederate control.
CONSENT TO BE RECORDED: Events and presentations will be recorded and photographed for educational purposes. The Missouri State Archives will film all speaker sessions and preserve such record for its future educational programming. Access may be available to the general public, but commercial profit will be prohibited. Your attendance constitutes informed consent to be recorded audio/visually.
NO REFUNDS FOR NON-ATTENDANCE: While we appreciate and understand that unforeseen circumstances do occur, the pricing for the Symposium does not enable the administrative costs for refunds.
We apologize for any possible inconvenience. If the Symposium were to be delayed to a different date or cancelled, refunds will be paid.
