About this Event
Join us for a family-friendly bird event. We will look and listen for our feathered friends and share our findings with Birds Studies Canada as part of the Christmas Bird Count. After a short walk, we will hand-feed chickadees and then gather in the Children’s Garden for storytelling, a feather show-and-tell, and some tasty hot chocolate. This is a free event but space is limited. Please register early to avoid disappointment.
The Christmas Bird Count for Kids is an outdoor event. It runs rain or shine – or snow, so dress for the weather! Bring your binoculars and field guides if you have them as well as reusable mugs for hot chocolate. We will have extra equipment and supplies to share.
About the Christmas Bird Count
Started in 1900, the Christmas Bird Count is North America’s longest-running citizen science project. Bird enthusiasts in more than 2,000 locations count birds over a 24-hour period in permanent plots, and share this information with conservation organizations.

Getting to Evergreen Brick Works
There is a TTC bus that runs from Davisville Station to Evergreen Brick Works.
Parking is available on site. You can pre-book parking through the Park Indigo website or app or pay once on site at one of the kiosks.
