Starting the third Wednesday in September we will be showing all 8 episodes of season 5 (9/17 thru 11/12) in the Fellowship Hall. No episode on 10/1. We will have coffee and water available. Each episode will start at 6:30pm.Episode Summaries:
Episode 1 "Entry":
Jesus arrives in Jerusalem on a donkey and is greeted by the multitude, many of whom welcome him along with those who doubt and oppose him. Jesus finds that the leaders of Jerusalem has turned his Father's House into a den of thieves.
Episode 2: "House of Cards"
Jesus makes an example of the corrupt marketplace at his Father's Temple. Caiaphas seeks a plot and potential allies in an effort to put Jesus to death.
Episode 3: "Woes"
As Jesus is holding one final sermon at the Temple, the Pharisees attempt to entrap him in a blasphemy charge. Jesus provides his disciples a warning of the Last Days.
Episode 4: "The Same Coin"
Afraid of public outcry--and further embarrassment--Caiaphas resolves to arrest Jesus quietly at night. Only one problem: no one knows how to find Him.
Episode 5: "Because of Me"
The Pharisees debate on how to find and arrest Jesus, and the plot reaches Pilates ears. Shmuel receives an unexpected ally in tracking down Jesus. Mary Magdelene returns to Jerusalem and encounters a familiar face.
Episode 6: "Reunions"
As Passover approaches, Judas holds a secret audience with Caiaphas and Pilate vows to cut ties with the Pharisees. Nicodemus makes his return to the fray. Atticus interrogates Kafni and offers him a deal.
Episode 7: "The Upper Room Part 1"
The disciples manage to find a place where Jesus can host one final supper with them while evading Roman patrols.
Episode 8: " The Upper Room Part 2"
Upon finishing their final supper together, Jesus heads to Gethsemane alongside Peter, John, and Big James to pray for the night. Caiaphas sets his plan in motion to have Jesus arrested.
