If you’re in love with “The Culture” let’s close out Black History Month with that Blacker the Berry, Sweeter the Juice energy!!!!
We joyfully welcome all with good vibrations to celebrate the opening of “My People” by
Dee Dwyer, a visual salute to her hometown Washington, D.C. Inspired by Langston Hughes’s poem My People, this exhibition radiates the city’s beauty, authenticity and its bouncebackability. These aren’t just photographs, they’re front porch conversations, block long summers, handshakes, laughter and that sacred nod of being seen and known.
Curated by The Chocolate City Experience @chocolatecityexperience in collaboration with the iconic Shanklin Hall @shanklinhall . We’re turning the space into a living museum. This is more than an art show, it’s a D.C. homecoming.
