Brian Mister (Race Director, Around the Crown 10K)
For the last 6 years, a weekend in Early September has become synonymous to the Around the Crown 10K. Thousands of runners shut down uptown and run. Brian has led this event, however, this isn't your normal fundraiser. Proceeds from the event support local nonprofits, Sustain Charlotte & Carolina Farm Trust. The race is also intensely sustainable. It's cup-less, features recycled shirts, and has compost stations.
