The Champ des Possibles and the Parc des Gorilles, green spaces on former railway sites, were both created thanks to community mobilization. They're connected by the Parc linéaire du Réseau-Vert, a project launched in 1994 but never completed. During this walk, led by members of Mile End Memories and AmiEs du Parc des Gorilles, you'll discover the fascinating history of the two sites, from the era of stone quarries to the renaturalization of what was then considered vacant land destined for “redevelopment.”
Lasting about three hours, the tour will begin at the entrance to Allée Saint-Viateur at de Gaspé Avenue,, and ends at Parc des Gorilles, at the intersection of Saint-Zotique and Esplanade streets.
Mile End Memories is organizing this activity jointly with Les Amis du Champ des Possibles and Les AmiEs du Parc des Gorilles.
(Il y a aussi une visite en français qui commencera à 13h.)
