About this Event
We are excited to be joined by writer-director Jack King and producer Hollie Bryan for a special screening and filmmaker roundtable of The Ceremony.
Open to writers, directors and producers based in the Midlands, we will be welcoming Jack and Hollie to talk all things filmmaking and producing. This is your opportunity to ask questions directly to an expert about the development and production of feature films, from development right up to distribution.
The team behind The Ceremony have all had support from BFI NETWORK in the past and so can share experiences of next steps following funding.
Tickets are extremely limited and include access to the roundtable, as well as your cinema ticket for the screening.
If you already have a ticket to the screening or the fee is a barrier to attending, please contact us before booking your place at the roundtable.
We are also able to provide travel bursaries for filmmakers travelling to the event from within the Midlands, please contact us to arrange your travel/ bursary.
For the above or if you have any questions about the event please email: [email protected]

Romanian Cristi and Kurdish Yusuf, two undocumented migrants working alongside each other in a Bradford car wash, couldn’t be more different. But a dark discovery brings the two together and sends them on a mission across the moors. Yorkshire writer-director Jack King’s striking debut feature won the Sean Connery Award for Feature Filmmaking Excellence at last year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival.
