About this Event
As placed-based organisations, housing associations demonstrated during the pandemic that they can play a critical role in improving the quality of life for their residents and local communities. The role of community investment was intrinsic to this role. With social housing facing multiple challenges, and multiple criticisms, how can community investment deliver excellence in place?
The Centre for Excellence in Community Investment conference is the only in-person event designed for community investment colleagues. Featuring speakers from across social housing, as well as experts in place-based activities, the 2023 conference also includes action-based workshops, where colleagues from across the sector will work together, share ideas and design solutions to the key issues facing social housing residents, including food insecurity, digital exclusion and health inequalities.

What do we mean by a place-based approach?
A place-based approach is about understanding the issues, interconnections and relationships in a place and coordinating action and investment to improve the quality of life for that community.
