About this Event
Come join us for an afternoon of top-shelf local live music at Cross Street Music Hall. The final installation of the Cross St Sunday series for 2024 will feature The CB3, Xani and PSI PHI, for your aural delectation. The vibes will be good, the drinks will be cheap & it's family friendly so tell all your friends, snap up some tickets and head on down to Cross St for an outstanding gig!
Here's a bit about your hosts:
THE CB3 - Blending class-act musicianship with a rare gift of both conviction and restraint, the creative prowess of The CB3 defines new parameters for contemporary music. Drawing comparisons with the likes of Khruangbin, The Meters and BadBadNotGood, The CB3’s funk, jazz and cinematic influences bind an offering that is equal parts unbridled and deliciously refined.

XANI - Best Musician at the 2022 Music Victoria Awards, Xani’s performances are unwavering and furiously energetic. Principally a violinist, improvised live sets are defined by electronic effect pedals and looping driven with fearless finesse, coloured by the ferocity of her instrumental output and shaded by deep creativity, her earnest voice and pure joy. Xani will be appearing at Cross St with her 3pc band.

PSI PHI - Drawing inspiration from the gatefold-era of 70s prog and psych rock hedonistic excess, PSI PHI is Sam Cope on Hammond & keys (Blue King Brown, The Badloves), Kumar Shome on guitar (The Punkawallas, Ajax Kwai), Will Hull-Brown on drums (The Cat Empire) and Ryan Monro on bass (The Cat Empire, The Meltdown). This supergroup boasts a burgeoning repertoire of originals, blended with some iconic and formidable covers. PSI PHI evoke the gods & monsters of the golden age of rock with virtuosity and intensity.
