About the featured artists:

Ashley Richiez is a self-taught artist originally from New England. Since 2016 however, she has called Austin, Texas, her home for both her personal life and creative work.

Ashley finds nature to be so fiercely beautiful. So much so, that it is a constant source of inspiration for her artwork. With the use of fluid acrylics on canvas, she aims to capture the profound emotions evoked by nature's embrace. The outdoors and her explorations of new places serve as powerful catalysts, enabling her to create fresh narratives with her paint, bringing forth something beautiful and organic that hadn’t existed before. Ashley aspires to translate the very essence of her surroundings onto canvas, capturing their rhythm, movement, and core in an abstract and expressive form. In doing so, her paintings become visual expressions of those fleeting moments in time, offering a unique and interpretive perspective on each encounter with nature.

With every brushstroke, she aims to transcend the constraints of time and unveil a new moment— a fresh story in an ever-evolving narrative.

Avery Price is a wife, mom of two, and a watercolor artist living in her hometown of Austin, Texas. She has been painting, drawing, and creating her whole life and continued her studies into college before deciding to branch out on her own! Under the company, “Coloring Austin”, she paints various local establishments in watercolor.

Each place she paints invites the viewer into the piece by reminding them of their own stories and experiences.

Avery started Coloring Austin as a way to celebrate her city, turning favorite spots new and old into art while connecting with the local community.

Jane Reischle is a 24-year-old textile artist based in Austin, Texas. She began her career in fine art just over 2 years ago. Her artistic practice specializes in hand embroidery. When most people hear "embroidery," they think of pastel flowers and domesticity. This is not the case for Jane. She uses embroidery to express her fascination with irreverent subcultures, strange objects, grandiose fashion, anarchist music, and eclectic color palettes.

In the past two years she has had the pleasure of showing at a number of group, dual, and solo exhibitions at galleries like Cloud Tree, Soco Modern, Yard Dog and Neighborhood Store. She had the chance to collaborate on a large-scale celebrity portrait series with Fort Lonesome, a chainstitch western wear design studio, and sold out an exhibition at Neighborhood Store in Dallas, Texas. As an artist, her life's work is focused on creating art at the intersection of pleasant and peculiar. Her hope is that you feel a similar sentiment when viewing her work.

Katie Chance is an artist with a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

With a keen eye for detail and a love for watercolor, gouache, and ink, she has mastered a range of styles from bold and vibrant to soft and ethereal.

Katie's artwork has been featured in solo and group exhibitions across the United States, including galleries in Provence, Atlanta, Austin and most recently New Orleans. Her work has also been recognized by respected publications such as Juxtapoz and Anthropologie, as well as the Austin Studio Tour.
