About this Event
Newly restored Fleischer Studio shorts including Betty Boop, Koko the Clown, Superman and Popeye shorts, a treasure trove of fantastic 4K restorations with interstitial commentary from an illustrious panel of animation directors, including Jorge Guttieriez (Maya and the Three, Book of Life), Dave Wasson (CupHead and Mickey shorts) and Howard Baker (Pharrell William's Brick by Brick) and historian Ray Pointer, author of The Art and Inventions of Max Fleischer.
Also on hand will be Mauricio Alvarado who has worked with Paramount and the Fleischer family to bring about these recent restorations.
There will also be an array of Fleischer souvenir memorabilia available for purchase
PARKING
We have our own parking lot for the festival weekend at 5301 Sierra Vista Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90029 (only a minute's walk away from the EASTWOOD). See map.
If that fills up try the nearby underground parking around the corner from the EASTWOOD Theatre(see illustration) at: 1110 N Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90029. Closes approx. 11.30/midnight - but do check times/prices with the attendant.
