About this Event
Overview
Advances in immunotherapy have revolutionised treatments for many cancer types. This has resulted in the need to improve immunotherapy knowledge from the impact in cancer medicine to challenges in managing patients on these treatments. This two day event will bring together expertise in the immuno-oncology field to discuss topics from basic principles of tumour immunology to clinical application and toxicity management in practice.
Intended Audience
Health care professionals involved in treating patients on immunotherapy, academics involved in cancer research or anyone with an interest in this field .
What to expect
24th January:
· An overview of the cancer immunity cycle
· The successes of immune checkpoint inhibitors
· What is on the horizon for immunotherapies?
27th January:
· Recognising and managing immunotherapy toxicities

Please note: one livestream ticket purchase is equivalent to one CPD certificate and the name on the ticket will match the one on the booking registration. Venue Information
The Christie Education Centre is located on the 2nd floor in Dept 17 of the main hospital and can be accessed by stairs or lift. Toilets are also on this floor including an accessible toilet. The auditorium has a hearing loop available and ramp access. A prayer room is available and close by. We want everyone attending our event in person to have the best possible experience. We provide regular breaks, access to quiet spaces etc. but If there is anything else we can do to make the day/your experience more comfortable, please let us know
