Our showcases unite patient groups, industry professionals, researchers, students, and healthcare providers. By sharing experiences, research, and expertise, we’re creating an unstoppable movement that brings real change to those living with rare diseases.
The Cambridge Rare Disease Showcase is a one-of-a-kind event. Alongside ample networking opportunities and complimentary food and refreshments, you’ll hear powerful first-hand rare disease stories proposed and presented directly by you, our delegates.

Speak at our showcase!
Throughout our Cambridge Rare Disease Showcase, you’ll have the opportunity to hear presentations – known as lightning talks – delivered by patient groups, academia, industry and healthcare providers, who’ll share their stories, progress and achievements in rare diseases.
But here’s the twist – all presentations are submitted directly by the audience!
During the registration process, you’ll have the opportunity to submit a lightning talk proposal. Just tell us what you’d like to speak about, and our expert team will select six lucky delegates to present their talk on the night.

Please note, submitting a lightning talk proposal does not guarantee you a speaking opportunity. We will review all proposals after the closing deadline and be in touch with successful applicants no later than Wednesday 11th September.
