The Cambridge Public House, the award-winning Parisian neighbourhood bar and cocktail pub, will host for the second time ‘The Cambridge Global Series’ in celebration of the Olympics this September. The bar will host nine globally acclaimed international bars, each from one of the participating countries for a series of special takeovers and seminars from Sunday 8th - Tuesday 10th September. Guest bars include Wax On from Germany, Martiny's from New York (who will be representing Japan), Fura from Singapore, Bar Mordecai from Canada, Satan's Whiskers from England, The Bar In Front Of The Bar from Greece, Hope & Sesame from China, Mister Paradise from USA, and Symbiose from France.
The Cambridge will host three guest shifts on each night of The Cambridge Global Series, kicking off with Mister Paradise, Symbiose and Hope & Sesame on Sunday 8th September, followed by Wax On, Martiny's and Satan's Whiskers on Monday 9th September and Fura, The Bar In Front Of The Bar and Bar Mordecai on Tuesday 10th October.
Each guest bar will be serving a selection of exclusive cocktails for an hour and a half on their dedicated evening. The special serves, which have been created in collaboration with Hyacinthe and The Cambridge team, will showcase the extraordinary skills and talents of each of the guest bartenders and their respective bars, whilst reflecting and paying homage to their home nation through the use of various flavours and ingredients.
Alongside the guest shifts, The Cambridge will be hosting a series of seminars at the 1K Hotel in the Cuzco Room on Monday 9th September from 12PM - 4 PM, where each bar will participate to a round table style talk moderated by François Monti, historian and spirit expert. Three round tables will happen and all last 45 minute followed by a Q&A to offer an open discussion on selected topics. The round tables will cover three topics close to The Cambrigde's etho: Education, Social and Environment. On Monday 9th October, the day will see a first seminar about Education with Wax On, Martiny's and Satan's Whiskers from 12:00 PM followed a lunch break organized by The Cambridge team. Then we will start again by the round table on Social with Mister Paradise, Hope & Sesame and Bar Mordecai from 2:00 PM. To end the day, we will present a last round table on Environment with Symbiose, Fura and The Bar In Front Of The Bar from 3:00 PM.
Each bar will also represent their home nations during the series.
