Come along for the cosiest and most relaxing evening in Newton Abbot! We are a small group of people prioritising our own calm and wellbeing by taking an hour and a half once a fortnight for ourselves.We meet in the Cwtch Hub on Union Street which is cosy and lit by fairy lights. We have gentle music playing and for only £2.50 you can treat yourself to a calming mug of ceremonial cacao (or anything else from their delicious menu!).
Connection - One of the most important things about the Calm Raft is that we are all there for our own wellbeing and therefore incredibly supportive of each other. People of all ages and walks of life just connecting, laughing and having authentic and meaningful conversations that help us to stop and take a moment to reflect.
Curiosity - Each week you can choose to join a table of 2 or 3 people to discuss a short excerpt from one of the best authors on wellbeing - discussion questions provided to help you but going off topic is all part of the fun! If you prefer something quieter, you can do some mindful arts and crafts either on your own or side by side.
Calm - Each week we finish with a short meditation to relaxing "theta sounds" music or to the lovely music of our very own live singer / acoustic guitarist! You will have a chance to totally relax and feel reset ready for the rest of the week.
Most people come alone the first time and we will do our best to make you feel welcome and supported. Everything is optional and you can choose what you feel comfortable with.
Each session is £6 per person although the first session is free. Payment via QR code from your phone or you can pay cash (but please bring the right amount as I don't often have change!)
