Bees, hives, apiary and the garden form a web of growth, abundance and vitality in the places we live and rest. This interactive talk will introduce you to the wonders of hive life. We will explore their incredible feats of navigation and pollination outside the hive, and how they communicate their adventures back home inside the hive. Bring your curiosity as we move through our community garden, following the flight of a bee and finishing up tasting local honey! 🐝🐝🌻🌼SezzaJai Sykes (they) will be leading this dynamic exploration of hive life. They are a poet, performer and beekeeper. They have looked after bees in Europe, New Zealand and Brisbane, before relearning how to keep bees in the desert. Their book of bee poetry was written to seed love for the bees and 'Pandeme of Bees' can be found in Red Kangaroo.
