Join us for the opening of The Bust Gallery's exhibit, Circles of Abstraction.
Circles of Abstraction features an array of emerging and established abstract artists including Annika Rhea, Callen Schaub, Sasha Bianca, Miriam Portilla Espino and Iutian Tsai.
The show will run between January 23rd and February 6th, 2025.
The opening event will feature a live painting performance by artist Annika Rhea entitled Fearless. Fearless is a powerful painting performance that asks the question: What would we do, who would we be, and what would we accomplish if we were fearless?
20% of all proceeds from artworks sold will go to the the California Fire Foundation, that provides cash assistance and support to disaster affected communities and firefighters.

About the Artists:
- Callen Schaub (Montreal, Canada)
A leader in the "Fake Art" movement, Schaub creates vibrant abstract works using trapezes, pendulums, and spinning machines. With a global following of over 7 million on social media, his paintings are in private collections worldwide. Schaub is also known for creating album art, including for Bust Gallery DJ Mikey Revah's debut album. - Annika Rhea (Brooklyn, NY)
Rhea is a multidisciplinary artist primarily known for her painting technique, BODY MEDIUM, which blends dance, performance art, music, and painting. Rhea has over 30 years of dance experience and over a decade as a professional painter. She has showcased her work at Art Basel Switzerland, Miami Art Week, and The Hamptons Fine Art Fair. Rhea combines art with positive affirmations and aspects of the human experience to create immersive and transformational live art experiences. - Miriam Portilla Espino (Mexico City, Mexico)
A self-taught artist with a background in law, Portilla Espino works across muralism, canvas, and mixed media. Her art has been featured internationally, including at The Bust Gallery (NYC), Soho House, and The Watergate Hotel. She collaborated on projects for the 2022 Qatar World Cup. - Sasha Bianca (New York, NY)
Known for her work with photography, snakeskin resin, and wood, Bianca’s art explores humanity’s relationship with nature. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, her distinctive style reflects her global travels and urban influences, offering a deep commentary on interconnectedness and life’s fluidity. - Iutian Tsai (Taipei, Taiwan)
Tsai creates sculptures designed to transform spaces by enhancing the flow of positive energy. His "Flow with the Spirit of Water" series promotes calm and harmony, encouraging a deeper connection between inner and outer worlds. Tsai's work has been profiled by ICAC Art Critics for its focus on restoring balance to chaotic environments.
